Welbeck Blasted For Diving

Arsenal emerged winners on the European night against Italian side AC Milan but hero Danny Welbeck has been criticized for diving. The former Manchester United but now Arsenal man is believed to be gradually building a reputation for himself by Australia striker Scott McDonald. Arsene Wenger, who usually blame match officials when they get their decisions wrong or when the situation is controversial, when asked about the diving incident, said he had not had enough time to review it.

Even the England national team coach Gareth Southgate has said that they will be talking and training the selected lot about ‘disciplinary trouble’ that could affect the team at the World Cup. He wants the players ready for how to approach the referees on the pitch and to avoid giving away free kicks. With the VAR cleared for Russia 2018, the focus will be on decisions in key moments as such. Continue reading Welbeck Blasted For Diving

SANCHEZ TO REMAIN FOR FINAL CONTRACT YEAR

One of the biggest transfer targets for this summer Alexis Sanchez looks set to remain at the Emirates for the forthcoming season, according to reports in England.

He is set to see off his final ten months left at the Emirates before he exits for free next year.

Arsene Wenger insisted that the Chile international would not be allowed to leave the club no matter the amount offered. After back and forth, it seems the player would remain in north London. The Gunners would prefer to lose out financially than sell their prized forward to rivals Manchester City or Chelsea or even to Bayern Munich or Paris St Germain.

PSG’s capture of Neymar ended links to Sanchez and Bayern could not compete in such costly financial deal. Jon Cross of the Mirror reports that Sanchez would stay on as the team fights for the Premier League title this season.

Wenger would also have enough time to plan a top replacement for Sanchez when he leaves next year. If he left this term it would have affected the team’s competitiveness so Wenger opted to lose out financially. Continue reading SANCHEZ TO REMAIN FOR FINAL CONTRACT YEAR
