Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka was one of the stars as England thumped lowly Andorra 4-0 to maintain their perfect start to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the European section. The Arsenal star was on target during the game that took the Three Lions to an unblemished record of five wins from five matches in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers in the UEFA section.
Arsenal forward Saka was a second half substitute in the first game for England after the Euro 2020 tournament as the Three Lions beathosts Hungary 4-0 in Budapest on Thursday night to make it four wins out of four games. Saka was then given a start for the fifth game of the qualifiers for England on the occasion of his 20th birthday. He would go on to mark his birthday with a goal and two assists to propel his team to another emphatic victory in the qualifiers.
Saka was the provider for Jesse Lingard in the first half as England went into the half-time break with a one-goal advantage. Team skipper Harry Kane was one of the numerous changes made from the starting XI for the Hungary game ahead of the encounter with Andorra and the Tottenham Hotspur hitman came off the bench to double the lead for the Three Lions from the spot in the final quarter of the game after Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount was fouled in the box. Mount and Kane were both second half substitutes.
England scored two further goals through Lingard and Saka with both players also providing an assist for the other to make it a thumping scoreline for the one-time world champions. Saka finished the game with one goal and two assists, while Lingard had two goals and an assist.
